How Reactoonz 2 Works

Reactoonz 2 is a 7-reel video slot from Play'n GO, set on a 7x7 grid. Players aim to create clusters by matching 5 or more identical symbols, either horizontally or vertically. When a winning cluster forms, the symbols are removed and new ones cascade down to fill the empty spaces. The cascading continues until no more clusters are possible.

Fluctuating Symbols and the Fluctometer

At the start of each round, a random one-eyed symbol is designated as the fluctuating type. If these fluctuating symbols contribute to a winning cluster, a single Electric Wild is placed randomly in any space vacated by that cluster. Additionally, the Fluctometer accumulates all fluctuating symbols removed during cascades. Once the Fluctometer is filled, it triggers the appearance of 1, 2, or 3 Electric Wilds on the grid, after all wins and cascades are resolved.

The Quantumeter and Special Wilds

Symbols removed by Electric Wilds, as well as those cleared in the Wild Pair Explosion, charge the Quantumeter. The Quantumeter has four levels, requiring different numbers of charges: level 1 at 55, level 2 at 85, level 3 at 110, and level 4 at 135 charges. Level 3 is considered fully charged, and level 4 is the overcharged state. The Quantumeter can continue to accumulate charges after releasing an Energoon, but becomes inactive after releasing the Gargantoon.

  • Levels 1 and 2 (if level 3 is not reached):
    • Level 1: Unleashes four 1x1 Energoon Wilds for a cost of 55 charges.
    • Level 2: Unleashes one 2x2 Energoon Wild for a cost of 30 charges.
  • Levels 3 and 4:
    • Level 3: Triggers a single 3x3 Gargantoon Wild. After the initial cascade, the 3x3 Gargantoon splits into two 2x2 Gargantoon Wilds, which then split into nine 1x1 Gargantoon Wilds as the cascades continue.
    • Level 4: In addition to the Gargantoon Wilds, all wins involving Gargantoon Wilds are subject to a x2 multiplier. Only one x2 multiplier is applied per winning cluster.

Electric Wilds, Uncharged Wilds, and Wild Pair Explosion

Electric Wilds substitute for other symbols to help create winning clusters. Uncharged Wilds can drop onto the grid at any time. While they do not contribute to wins, they become Electric Wilds if charged by being adjacent to a winning cluster or through the Wild Pair Explosion feature.

After all cascades and feature effects have played out, if there are two or more Electric Wilds on the grid, the Wild Pair Explosion may occur. Two Electric Wilds are chosen, with preference for those that are adjacent horizontally or vertically. If they are adjacent, all other symbols except wilds are removed from the grid. If not adjacent, the symbols between the two wilds are cleared, provided they are one-eyed or two-eyed symbols.

Feature Activation Sequence

After all winning clusters are counted and cascades are finished, features activate in the following order: the Fluctometer, the Quantumeter, and then the Wild Pair Explosion.
